Security Overview

Every operating system has some inherent security flaws in the shipped version.

As adminstrators, we have the responsibility of maintaining these systems and keeping them as secure as possible. In the hopes of making that job easier, this repository of information has been created to house tips and tricks for making a stock system significantly more secure.

Following these directions will not make your machine Hack-Proof, but will help keep it safe from most canned attacks.
