New Wireless Installations

If you are a network administrator in a unit or department that is considering wireless network coverage, whether in a single focused area or across one or more complete buildings, these pages provides the information you will need to apply for a new wireless installation (or an expansion of an existing one).

There are several topics to consider before you apply. These include how much coverage you want, who should be responsible for user support, and more. The following pages describe the options available and the process of working with CITES to get a new wireless installation up and running.

There are several types of wireless implementations available to campus departments and units, ranging from fully CITES-managed to fully departmentally managed, with several options between. This page shows a table comparing the different options, and links to more details about each.
