Two-Way Radio Service

CITES has transferred this service to the Facilities & Services department.

Since July 1, 2011, Facilities & Services manages one general two-way radio frequency on campus known as the "campus channel." The Two-Way Radio Service is a portable but nonprivate communication service that allows only one communication at a time. As the channel is shared among several campus units, other users can monitor the channel.

The system has a range that includes the campus and a limited perimeter around Champaign-Urbana.
