Assessing Student Work
Whether they are timed, multiple choice exams, or term-long research projects, assessments are intended to evaluate what information student's possess and how well they can recall and use what they know to analyze problems and arrive at appropriate solutions.
Illinois Compass 2g offers two basic tools for assessing student work. The assignment tool functions like a dropbox allowing students to turn in digital files to be graded. The Assessment tool allows you to create, deploy and grade a variety of computer-based quizzes and online exams.
