Frequently Asked Questions - CITES Security Questions

On this page, you will find some of the questions most frequently asked by customers about setting up and using security questions. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for on this page, please contact the Help Desk.

What are CITES Security Questions and why should I set them?

CITES Security Questions are a secure way to log into Password Manager. Answering your security questions allows you to reset your NetID or other CITES passwords if:

  • you forget your NetID password
  • your NetID password expires
  • your password is scrambled due to a Security incident

Are CITES Security Questions different from the security questions used to reset my Enterprise password?

Yes. The security questions that you may have set for your Enterprise password are independent from your CITES Security Questions. Setting your Enterprise-related security questions will not set or change your CITES Security Questions, or vice versa. You can establish security questions as a secure method to reset your Enterprise password at https://eas.admin.uillinois.edu/eas/servlet/EasLogin. For access problems, questions, or comments related to the Enterprise password or security questions, contact the AITS Service Desk at (217) 333-3102 (Urbana & UIS) or (312) 996-4806 (UIC).
