Who can create a short-term ICS lab guest account?

If you are a campus faculty, staff, or administration member, or if you are responsible for a conference coming to campus, you can request Instructional Computing Services (ICS) lab accounts for campus guests.

How do you request this type of account?

Contact the ICS lab staff to arrange for guest account creation.

Note: There is a $1 fee per guest account created, which is typically paid with a CFOP number in Banner.

What can a guest do with a short-term ICS lab guest account?

A short-term ICS lab guest account will offer your guests access to ICS lab computers and equipment at several locations around campus.

Guests can use ICS labs for a variety of purposes, such as scanning and/or printing, attending a class or workshop, and internet access.

What information will you need to provide about your guest(s)?

The ICS staff will need the following information:

  • Visitor's first name
  • Visitor's last name
  • Duration of visit
  • A CFOP number (to use the University-wide Banner system to pay the $1 fee per account created)
