CITES Express Email Web Interface: How to Search for Messages
This page contains information about how to search for messages in the CITES Express Email web interface.
This web page is part of an online tutorial series about the CITES Express Email web interface and explains how to search for email messages.
1. Log in to the CITES Express Email web interface if you have not already done so.
2. Open the folder you want to search in by using the Choose folder: drop-down menu on the left navigational menu and clicking Go. You can search for messages in only one folder at a time.
3. Click on Search in the top navigational menu.
4. Enter the information about the email messages that you want to find into the Search section.
Tip: You can search for emails by six parameters.
You can use more than one search parameter at a time. For instance, you can search for an email from a correspondent by name, with the additional restriction that it be larger than 2 KB and smaller than 6 KB. You can further restrict your search using the Search unread only checkbox to find messages you haven't read yet. You can also use AND, OR, and NOT to help find messages. If you use them, be sure to type them in all capital letters. See the above graphic for an example. |
5. Click Search. The number of messages found will be shown below the search button, and the messages will be displayed below that. To narrow results further, you can enter the new search parameters and check Search in Results. This is useful if your first search returns too many messages.

Tip: After searching for messages, you can choose to move messages to a folder; mark them read, unread, answered, or unanswered; or delete them. |
