End of Semester Grade Book Help for Illinois Compass

by CITES EdTech Staff

Managing grades at the end of the semester is one of the last tasks instructors must do before taking a break. There are always questions. How do I create a calculated column? Can I use Illinois Compass to submit grades to Banner? I forgot what happened in training and now I don't know how to add a letter grade column to let students know their final grades. If you have pondered any of these questions, CITES EdTech provides help resources available in many forms to aid in managing and submitting final course grades. The following list provides several different Illinois Compass Grade Book resources:

Backing Up Your Grade Book

Illinois Compass will be unavailable for three weeks beginning May 21st. To ensure that you have access to your student’s grades during that time, you may want to export your Compass grade book as a spreadsheet file. By taking this simple step, you will have a record of students’ grades that you can access with a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel. For directions on exporting your grade book see: Exporting and Importing Grades.

Illinois Compass Context Sensitive Help

This link is found in the upper right hand corner of your Illinois Compass course. Simply click the link while in the Grade Book to receive context sensitive help topics.
