To access the Chat tool, select the Build tab, and under Course Tools select Chat.
To create a new chat/whiteboard, click on Create Chat or Whiteboard Room.
Fill in the Assignment Title and Description. Item Visibility allows you to keep the Assignment hidden in the Student View. Enter the number of Maximum users allowed in the chat room at one time.
Select the Type of room that you want to create. You can create a Chat and Whiteboard room, a Chat only room, or a Whiteboard only room. If you wish, you can set specific Goals for the chat.
Click on More Options to set User Permissions and to Enable logging.
Once done, click on Save.
