Illinois Compass Assessments can be exported into a .zip folder that can be stored on your computer. The .zip folder can then be uploaded back into an Illinois Compass course site.
Please Note: Respondus users can use Respondus to save assessments and import them into new Compass course sites.
In the Build tab, go to the Content Inventory sub-tab and select Assessments.

You can select assessments individually to download, or you can download all of your assessments at once. To get all assessments, be sure to edit your paging so that all assessments are visible on one page. Select Edit Paging and use a number high enough to guarantee that all of your assessments will appear on one page.

Select the Check All box in order to select all of your assessments.

Assessments will be bundled into a .zip file. Give the file a name.

The File Browser window will pop-up. Select Choose Current Folder.

An "Export Progress" activity bar will appear.
When the export is complete, you will see an Export Log. If the export is successful, click Return.
Go to the Basic View tab and click on File Manager.

Select your assessments file. Click Download.

You can choose to either save your .zip file to your computer, or open it. We recommend that you save the file to you computer and keep it as a .zip file until you need to upload it back into an Illinois Compass course site.

Log in to the New Illinois Compass. Click on your course site and select the Build tab.
