DNS Web Appliance
For IT Pros
This page contains information about DNS tools available to campus IT professionals, including the campus DNS web appliance.
Web interface
Campus IT professionals with network administration duties registered in Contact Manager can use their NetID and Active Directory password to log in to the web appliance at https://dns.cites.illinois.edu.
Note that after 30 minutes of idle time, your session in the web interface will time out and you'll need to log in again.
Data in the DNS appliance is uploaded every two hours (on the even hours) every day.
See the Campus DNS Standards for more information about topics such as authorization, delegation, cost, implementation time, etc.
