Introduction

Since networking technology is constantly changing, the Network Design Office (NDO) devotes resources to networking research, including evaluating promising new technologies as they appear and closely monitoring emerging national/international standards. The NDO tests new products that will work in the campus environment, and when practical, gets involved with prototype or beta testing of products.

Based on evaluation and testing of products, the NDO conveys recommendations to campus units interested in purchasing networking products.
